Item Description
Superb sharp, fast telefoto, equivalent to a 750mm F4.5 for 35mm format. A fine wildlife or surfer lens, as long as you have young eyes. Very bright for a 500mm, so focusing is certainly easier than with an F5.6 lens!

Return Policy & Additional Details
I bought this from a doctor who was the original owner, and have used it for wildlife trips once or twice annually for the past ten years.

No returns accepted, as I know this is a sharp lens and it will cost far lens than the new price which was in the range of $2000 when new.

Please send me a private message if interested in the item!

Damned that's an impressive piece of glass!
If I had the cash, I'd buy it just to scare away the Canon folk at the wild life reserves(lol).
Very impressive though...

Hi Kerrick,

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, I have to place a strict upper weight limit to any lens I can use, and 7 lbs, 11 oz is over my limit, but that's actually lighter than I expected for a lens of this spec -- this looks to be a fine piece of glass -- and very rare too -- the first I've ever seen in any mount, especially KA mount, and long fast glass always gets my attention. . .

I wonder if the Pentax 1.7 AFA would work acceptably with this lens?

I don't see why not--that TC works pretty well with my SMC 1000mm.

This is K- r/t KA-mount--correct, kjames5?
