Item Description
This is my backup K20D.
Approx 15,000 shots taken with this body. I've got 2 K20D's a K10D and a new K-x. I don't need them all. So I'm selling this backup camera that has seen no use since the K-x arrived.

Works well but please read the disclaimer below before buying. Due to 2 issues, I'm offering the camera cheap.

Issue 1:
I bought it about a year ago from another forum member. When I did, he indicated that the camera had some scratches on on the rear LCD. That was frankly very understated. The rear LCD has a number of scratches and rub marks. It's not pretty but doesn't effect the viewing on the LCD. Second is a very small nick on the lower right side of the rear grip. I'll try to show it in a pic.

Issue 2:

I'll post some pics to describe this problem. But again the seller did not disclose that there are some dead pixels on the sensor. For most situations, this doesn't make much of a difference with shots and can only be seen when pixel peeping a shot. They are easily cloned out if needed and I've shot weddings with the camera. This hasn't been an issue. Much less visible than a dust spot.

Looking closely, I counted a straight line with 16 dead pixels. They are on the left side of center or the upper side in portrait mode. Pixel mapping does not solve the issue. I contacted Pentax Canada and the cost of a sensor replacement is way too much to make it worth doing.

Again it's invisible in most shots and can be easily cloned out if there is a lot of white in the spot where it appears.

When I bought the camera, the original owner provided an SD card that had some photos on it and I could see in one shot that this issue may have been there from the beginning. It has not changed or gotten worse in approx 10,000 shots since I got the camera.

Otherwise a good working camera and if you don't mind the issues above, a very good deal for someone on a budget that wants a great body.

Pics showing dead pixels
On an image like this, you'll have a near impossible time spotting it. (It's on the red leaf to the left of center). It also will not show up in enlarged prints.

In this image you still can't see it until you zoom in
