Item Location Santa Fe, NM Item Description For sale is a Nikon 300mm f/4 IF-ED telephoto prime lens. This is the model prior to the current 300/4 AF-S. It has screwdrive autofocus rather than the in-body motor of the newer version. This lens is in perfect cosmetic condition. The glass is clean, the body is virtually spotless. However, it makes a loud whining sound when focusing, both in manual and autofocus modes. You can see/hear a lens with a similar issue here: At times the manual focus grinds, though it never hesitates in autofocus mode. The lens will focus throughout the entire range, and focuses accurately, but the sound is obviously a concern. For this reason, I've priced the lens well below the going rate. The lens is sold as-is. No returns. Included: Lens, rear cap, front pleather cover, internal filter holder + original Nikon internal filter, Vivitar 82mm UV front filter Shipping: Free in USA.
