[SOLD] Ricoh Rikenon XR 50mm f/1.7 lens - PK

Price $24
Shipping in the US - $5

The XR series are considered to be some of Ricoh's best lenses. They are similar to the K or M series Pentax lenses - solid construction; smooth, well-damped manual focus; made almost entirely of metal and glass. They do not have the Ricoh pin. This lens is in very good condition, with only a few dust specks internally; and a little dust externally, a slight nick or scratch here or there, but overall is in very good cosmetic condition. There is no fungus or haze, and the aperture is snappy. IQ is great, maybe slightly behind the SMC-m 50/1.7 wide open but pretty similar stopped down - which means SHARP.

I like this lens a lot, but haven't used it much at all recently, and I know someone out there would like to play with a manual focus "fast fifty" for not very much investment. Maybe you! I am willing to ship internationally, but the shipping price will be higher, please ask about your country. Also, I am happy to refund your purchase price if you find the lens to be in any way other than as described. Send me a PM if interested, or with any questions!

Caps not included, unfortunately, but I will put on a 52mm Telesar UV filter (Made in Japan) to protect the front element, and wrap the back VERY carefully.

Thanks for looking,
Nick

ps I am happy to combine shipping (only $8) with my other lens for sale:

And a few more sample shots, with minimal if any PP (last is a 100% crop, no PP):

Bump for a great sleeper lens. It can be used like a "A" lens on Ricoh XR series bodies, but on Pentax bodies it works like a "M" lens. At this price it's a real bargain, I'd pick it up if I don't have mine already. Some sample images taken with this lens on my Ricoh XR-P with ilford delta 3200 B/W.

Thanks for the nice words and nice pics Squinty. The XR lenses like this one do not have a "P" setting, though, so even on an XR-P you can't use Tv or P mode, just manual or Av. Still, great lenses.

Nick, good luck saving.

PMs replied, lens still available.

Bump for one of my favorite MF lenses

This lens was a recommended purchase from a pro camera shop in Maryland over 25 years ago. I used it last week for an important portrait session and everyone who saw the results was stunned by the clarity, color rendition and overall quality.

If I didn't already have this as well as a PKA 1.7, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Sig
