Pentax F 50/1.4 lens in outstanding condition. I was very happy when I got this lens from another forum member, and I still love it. However, I now have all 3 FA Ltd. fast primes, so it's not getting much use. If the money weren't going toward an F* lens I don't think I could bear to sell it.

I believe this is Pentax's best AF 50. I've had the FA50/1.7 and F50/1.7, but this is better. I specifically bought it over the FA50/1.4. Based on my experience with other Pentax F and FA glass, I feel confident it's better than that too. In any case, it's a great copy of a highly regarded and rather hard to find lens.

Comes with generic rear and nice looking (but apparently non-original) 'PENTAX' labeled front cap.

PMs replied to; I had multiple requests for photos.

Here are some quick photos of the lens (taken with a K-x and F50/2.8 Macro) as well as a shot taken with the F50/1.4 itself. Anything that looks like a mark on the glass is either dust or a reflection - the glass looks perfect to me. I would have listed this lens as 'like-new', except I don't have the box.

The sample photo was taken indoors, without flash, at f/2; a 100% crop follows it.

I realized after posting the previous photos that I really should have done normal sharpening of the .PEF files in Adobe Camera RAW, since all RAW files normally need sharpening. Here is a 100% crop with sharpening applied, to more accurately show the lens' performance.

The difference isn't all that dramatic. However, I changed to the sRGB colorspace for the web (which may have contributed to the brown shadow at the left of the heart), and the highlight on the neck, as well as the detail at the top of the heart, look more realistic now.

Sharpening, noise reduction, cropping and sizing are all that were done to this image.
