[SOLD] Cheap Canon 55mm 1.2

It's time to offload another fine lens from my collection. This is the Canon FL 55mm 1.2. This is a very good copy. Basically the FL version is just as good as the FD, but more flare prone due to difference in coating.

Optically, it is in perfect condition as you can see in the pictures. It has minor amount of internal dust, which would not affect the IQ in anyway. You will see soon the very IQ of this lens.

Mechanically, focus is smooth, and aperture blades are clean and free of oil.

Cosmetically, it shows minor sign of usage, very good condition for lens of its age.

It comes with its original metal hood. I'm asking for $200 + shipping. Very good price for a 1.2 lens.

You can use this lens on any micro 4/3 camera (Olympus EP-1, EP-2, E-PL1, Panasonic G1, G2, GF1, etc.), Sony NEX cameras, and Samsung NX cameras with appropriate adapter. It will be a beautiful portrait lens for such a low price.

Product's pictures:

Sample shots:

Wide-Open: (Dreamy with fine detailed)

f/2: Sharpen up nicely for any type of work, beautiful bokeh

Wide Open shots:

Nope. From the pics, it looks like a Canon mount. I think you would need an adapter to use it on a Pentax camera.

No. Canon FD mounts have a several mm shorter register distance than the required 45.5mm.

The adapters available will either not have infinity focus or it will have extra glass in between, causing the lens to be longer and slower, which would kind of defeat the purpose of having an f1.2 lens.

Thank you for all the replies. Certainly you can use adapter to mount this lens on a Pentax body. Without glass element, you can still use it as a portrait lens. With glass element, not only it degrades the IQ, it makes the lens 1 stop slower (depends on the quality). Nonetheless, you still get that same thin DOF. Depending on the application, one can still use it to serve its purpose.

Bump for a fantastic lens. This is the one Canon 50-55 1.2 with the most pleasing bokeh.

actually the optically corrected adaptor for FD to PK is a 1.4x multiplier so 55mm becomes 77mm F1.8
