Thanks! Oh no; the lens was used as-is. I only cropped the shot a little. The FA* 85 does not have a problem with that, sharp as it is...

Two more photos to help sell this lens. Not masterpieces though

The lens renders textures and metals exceptionally well. At least that's my impression.

Seriously now... I'm trying to find funds for this but ain't really keen on selling anything else then 100/2.8 which leaves me with big gap....

Let's see....

I was able to bypass the "finance minister" last week when I bought my FA*85, as she's pretty much given up on trying to keep track of my LBA. When the package arrived and I unpacked it, she did chime in and say, "You paid how much for that? Didn't you notice those small scratches in the silver paint? It's kind of an ugly lens".

I understand that.... my ministeress has K-x and when we go somewhere together I don't get to use 31ltd at all....

I haven't had a chance to compare them in a controlled or meaningful way yet. I did take some quick shots with both lenses when I first received the 85. Without doing any specific pixel peeping, I found the overall results to be somewhat similar, with the edge in favor of the 85. Wide open I was actually pretty impressed with how well the FA*85 performed. I suppose that's part of the point of having fast glass, but still I was happy with my test shots at f1.4.

Hopefully one of these days I'll have time to do a more thorough comparison and would be happy to share the results. Also, you're welcome to stop by and borrow it whenever you want
