[SOLD] My Entire Pentax System (K-7, FA31mm, 16-50mm, etc.)

With great pain, I'm offering my entire Pentax DSLR system. I've hit somewhat of a financial difficulty, and while I love my Pentax system so much (P was my first DSLR system), I can't justify owning two DSLR systems any more, especially when I'm spending more and more time shooting larger formats in film (645, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9, and 4x5). And when it comes down to a choice between one or the other, I have to choose my 5D Mk II, not necessarily because it's a better system, but because it's the camera that can mount all my Nikon and Olympus Zuiko lenses. And FF. I'll admit.

Anyway, my pain is your gain. I'll be putting up the pictures one by one, but wanted to get out the word. May these end in the hands of a loving new owner.

Everything is first-hand, except for the Rokinon and the EB-G4.

(4) DA* 16-50mm F2.8. Comsmetically 9.5/10, optically 9.5/10, mechanically 9.5/10. Yes, the SDM is working flawlessly. Really a shame, as I hardly got to use this at all in the last year that I've owned it. I was planning to take it to the field with me to abuse it in the humid tropics, but never got around to it. And here's another one that's almost impossible to get an equivalent one on my 5D, especially the weather sealing, affordably... Purchased from Audio Video Express last June so just went out of warranty, I'm afraid. Comes with genuine front/rear caps, pouch, and original box in fantastic condition.

$650

(6) Voigtländer Apo-Lanthar 90mm F3.5 SL Cosmetically 9.5/10, optically 9.5/10, mechanically 9/10. The reason why I give it a 9 for mechanics is because the knurled focus ring is kind of loose and will spin on its own sometimes. It was like this out of the box when I purchased it brand new last year. Slight scratch on the front cap. Comes with genuine front cap (rear cap might be third party) and original box in fantastic condition.

$525

(9) Pentax Mount Adapter K: genuine M42-PK mount adapter.

$30

(10) Flanged M42 adapter: here's a really handy one for those M42 lenses that don't have a A/M switch (i.e., always in Auto mode). Use this to keep the aperture pin permanently depressed so that you have a fully manual stop-down lens.

$15

(1) Pentax K-7 Body, excellent. Functionally perfect, cosmetically 9.5/10. Purchased on launch day in Japan. Only caveat is that the user manual is in Japanese. Comes with all original accessories and original box in excellent condition. I don't know how to check actuation count (or if it's even possible), but I'm pretty sure it's not ridiculously high. Maybe 10K or thereabouts. According to PhotoME, the actuation count is 9,929.

$680
SOLD

(2) FA 31mm F1.8 Black (Made in Japan). Cosmetically 9/10, ever so slight and tiny scuffs on the focus ring, and some light thin scratches on the lens cap. Optically 9.5/10, slammin' good. Functinally 9.5/10. The lens was slightly FFing upon purchase, and it's been serviced by Pentax in the fall of 2008. Purchased in Sept. or Oct., 2008 from Prodigital, so I think it's still in warranty in Canada. Comes with genuine front and rear caps, leather pouch, original box in fantastic condition.

$900
SOLD!

(3) DA 12-24mm F4. Cosmetically 9/10 for the lens, but the hood has some small scratches and rubs. Optically 9.5/10, mechanically 9.5/10; really, haven't noticed any problems. I love this lens and I'm going to be hard-pressed to find a replacement for it for my 5D (affordably, that is). Comes with genuine front and rear caps, leather pouch, original box in fantastic condition.

$580
SOLD

(5) Rokinon 85mm F1.4. Cosmetically, optically, and mechanically 9.5/10. Looks new. I traded this with a forum member here and used it several times to my great satisfaction. It's a great lens for the price, and as good as any wide open. Front/rear caps, felt pouch, original box in fantastic condition.

$200
SOLD

(7) AF 360 FGZ: all working and looking great. Might have used it 2-3 dozen times. Realized I wasn't a flash kind of person. Comes in original box in excellent condition.

$160
SOLD!

(8) D-BG4, battery grip for K-7: just purchased this a couple weeks ago from a forum member. Looks & acts like new. In original box in fantastic condition.

$140
SOLD

All prices include Paypal fees; you shall foot the shipping. If you are willing to pay me in a way that does not incur fees, I will knock off 3%.

Thanks. And to be clear, I'm not quitting being a Pentaxian. I have my 67II (currently in repair) and I just picked up a 645 for a song today.

If/when I come back to Pentax digital, there's a good chance it's going to be 645D :-)

Easy! Just download and install free PhotoMe application (current beta version works well) PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor. Then run it, load any latest RAW picture and scroll down to Shutter Count.

Thanks everybody for your purchases. It's sad to see them go, but I know they'll be in good hands.

Slight price drop on the remaining items.

Thanks, yes, the Voigtländer is a beaut. And it is one lens I'm looking to replace with the EF version. Hopefully I can get the earlier version in as good a condition as this PK-A version; it sounds like the new version doesn't quite have the fit & finish of the older ones ;-)
