I have decided to sell this amazing lens, although I know I will regret it sooner or later. Probably sooner. It is without a doubt the best lens I have used when it comes to image quality. However, my photographic tastes have changed and I don't use it as much as it should be used, so it must go.

Cosmetically it is in good condition. The main faults are some paint loss and brassing on the aperture ring, and some damage to the filter ring. The damage to the filter ring isn't severe, and a filter can still be used, but filters cannot be screwed on all the way. There are some hairline scratches on the lens barrel where the built in hood rests when not pulled out, due to it being pulled out and pushed in. There is also some general wear on the paint in that area. Other than that there are just a few other minor cosmetic blemishes(small spots of paint loss, etc.)

Optically the front and back elements are blemish free. There is a normal amount of internal dust/particles that have no negative affect on image quality that I can discern.

Mechanically it is in perfect working order. The focus is smooth, the aperture mechanism is snappy and the blades are clean, the built-in hood works as it should, and the tripod mount works as it should. When stopped down the aperture is slightly asymmetrical, but in my experience this is par for the course even with * lenses(my A* and F* 85mms both did this too).

The lens will come with Pentax front and back caps, and the original hard case for the lens. The case is in good condition, but on and around the "hinge" the pleather is cracking, and some small bits are falling off.

It may not make you a better photographer, but it sure makes taking good photos of certain subjects a lot easier. I'll post some torture, I mean example shots, from it tomorrow.
