For sale is a DA 17-70mm in like new condition cosmetically, but the SDM is starting to fail. It focuses fine from 17-50, but then chatters like a chipmunk when attempting to focus beyond that. It will do so with repeated tries, but the lens is clearly having issues. My understanding is that replacement of the SDM is approx. $200, so for $300 the purchaser can have a like new looking lens (original caps and hood), with a new SDM and a six month warranty on the repair. Please PM me if you would like pictures of the lens glass, etc.
