[SOLD] Fs: A*300/4

since i've got the 300/2.8 i realize that i don't need 2 300/4s. i've got a super tak and a A*. i paid too much for the tak so i'm going to keep it for a light weight 300mm.

ok, here's the info on the A*300/4. it's a very used lens. i saw this lens FS in a local shop. it looks like someone cleaned the front lens with a brick. i had my DS body with me and took some test shots. i was back the next day with money in hand.

SOLD

also there is some water stains on the aperture but it WORKS just fine. no prob. this lens has been a favorite for some time even tho it looks like sh!!... thru tests i've found that as long as you use it at or below f8 it does not affect IQ.

i've got an album that i've posted some of the many shots i have gotten using this lens. there are shots in here at f-stops higher than f8 but not many. i seldom use anything other than f4-8... this really is a great pentax lens because it keeps on ticking.

Picasa Web Albums - roy - A*300/4

actually, i don't even know how to price this so make me an offer. since this is not a collectable i'm going to want to keep the front cap for my tak. i do have a number in mind.

thanks for looking,
roy

Oy. I have been wanting something in that range as a prime for shooting baseball (400 is a bit long). Your shots look good at open apertures. I suppose paired with an ND8 for daytime shots to keep you from having to go to f11.

Is it possible to clean that glass at all? Will Pentax USA service it? I've been wanting to get some * glass, but the few auctions that I've bid on I haven't won.

How about two cases of Pearl, 5 pounds of Rudy's brisket (with sause), and some deep-fried Oreos?

My first post so hope I have done it correctly

I cannot begin to imagine what happened here, but if it still works at f8 then at least something can be salvaged. I am looking for this lens but you are on the wrong side of the pond so guess it's a no go.

If anyone else has one available in UK would love to hear from you.

i've shipped quite a few things to the UK. just a small body of water separates us. i'll also work with you on the customs thing. i hate seeing what you in the UK have to spend for what we get it at here.

Man if you start PETL (People for the Ethical Treatment of Lenses) I'm going to snap take sand paper to the front of my friends Canon Lenses! Notice I didn't say my Pentax Lenses?!?
