[SOLD] Back To School special: K1000 and P30t (Worldwide)

2 nice film bodies for aspiring photography students or anyone who wants to get into the film game. I love shooting film, and both of these bodies are perfectly capable, but I just have too many for the amount I use them. So, maybe someone else would like to try them.

K1000 - all manual classic, with just 3 settings - ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. Nothing cluttering the viewfinder but a single needle indicating exposure. This is the camera on which I learned photography, I shot with it exclusively for years and yet it is still going strong. Meter works and is accurate as compared with a DSLR, there is no capping or shutter drag, and the seals even look ok. For "fine art" use it is probably due for a "clean lube and adjust" (CLA), but for "quick and dirty" shooting it is ready to go. There is brassing on the body, a small dent on the prism housing, the cover for the film count dial is missing and so is the little plug for the flash terminal. None of this keeps it from being a solid workhorse camera. But it does allow you to buy it for a mere $20.SOLD

P30t - an under-appreciated entry in the manual focus SLR world. Feels solid and well put together, despite being made largely of plastic, and can use shutter priority, aperture priority and program modes as well as a decent manual mode. Has a memory lock feature, and depth of field preview. My copy is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use or wear. And it works like a charm. This can also be yours for a mere $20. SOLD

Both camera bodies include straps (appropriate to their era if not original) but no lenses or caps. I can send you a few extra pictures if you want. Shipping will be $8 in the US, more elsewhere - please ask about your specific country. I will happily take returns if you find something not to your liking, but you will pay for shipping both ways. Please ask any questions, and good luck camera shopping!

Nick

If someone wants one of these but wants a lens too, I have some spares that do not really match but would be usable:

Ricoh XR 35-70mm f/3.5 MF zoom with 1:4.5 "macro" at 35mm - $5
Converted to a preset with stopless aperture due to missing camera coupling when I got it. I used this one for a year or two, but now have another copy so can let it go for cheap. Black.

FA 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 AL AF zoom - $30
Light weight, with great colors, decent sharpness and bayonet hood included. Silver.

F 28-80mm f/3.5-4.5 AF zoom - $50
Heavy but solid, with a nice macro mode at 80mm to 1:4 or so. In beautiful condition, almost new, with Pentax caps and in original box - marked $279!!!

Plus I have a MZ-30 which is a little beat-up but works fine, you can have that for only $10 plus shipping.

Shipping a camera plus a lens will be $11, and any additional stuff at no extra charge! I can send or post pictures if anyone is interested. Might even make another thread, hmmm.

I am thinking K1000 would actually go quite nicely with the XR Rikenon zoom, MZ-30 with the FA 28-80, and the P30t with the F 28-80. Some pics below:

XR Rikenon

FA 28-80

F 28-80

MZ-30

Let me know if you are interested at all!

Thanks Sr. Rodriguez! P30t is sold. Dude163, shipping to Canada is about $10-11, not a ton more $ although it is slow.

Well the K1000 is now sold too. I think I will close this one, and start a new thread for the other stuff.
