sure hope this works out. I'd hate to think someone would become a part of the community with 150+ posts and then scam what little they got from this. especially if they get caught for a felony. that doesn't ever leave you.

Yes, I was notified that he claimed the money. If he has done that to both of us it is not a simple error in my opinion. I believe that the other "buyer" experienced the same otherwise the transaction could be cancelled.

Hi Erik and Sunkssss,

Please keep me posted on the status of this problem via PM. Did the seller send either of you a message before you sent the payment?

I would be very interested in what happens here as I was planning on buying this as well! And was very close to hitting the send money button but he never replied to my pm's so I said obviously he had sold it already or something!

Thanks

Yikes!

I contacted him and was going to buy the camera. He wanted a money order sent to an address he left me. I don't know why, but I got cold feet and backed out. I wasn't comfortable in sending a money order. I offered Paypay but that didn't seem an option at that time. Then my husband decided if I want another body, it'd be better to get another k10d in the future.

I would say that someone that leaves 150+ posts is more than likely on the up-and-up. He may have computer problems or something. I hope he is ok. Lets give the benefit of the doubt.

I do understand the individuals that sent money to him being nervous. I'd wait the allowed amount of time and then cancel the transaction if possible.

He hasn't bothered to log back in for about three days now. If I were one of the parties involved, I'd have the cops after his butt right about now.

If any of the parties involved want the postal address that he left for me to mail a money order to, let me know.

He'd have given you a real name too wouldn't he, to go on the MO?

Btw have a read of some of his posts here:

Well yes, he did give me a name. If it is his real name is anyone's guess.

I'm waiting for my paypal claim to go through; if it doesn't, I'll contact the authorities in his area immediately. So, Joey, if you're reading this, be warned...

Well, there was one time I couldn't get online for more than a week or so myself, so let's hope this is the case.

But as a seller, it's not nice to give paypal payment info to more than one buyer at the same time (just to avoid multiple payment). I'd send the payment info to interested buyers one at a time (only send the info to the next buyer inline after the previous one backs out).

Luckily paypal protects the buyers quite well, not too much risk here anyway...
