Communicated with him yesterday a few times then sent him money for the K100D. I assume that takes the camera off the sales shelf.

Wait a while so he has a chance to straighten out an honest mistake.

And if that doesn't happen, ask one of these people to talk to him about it.

I'm hoping it doesn't come to that, but if his intentions are anything but honest, I probably have pretty slim chances of working this out without contacting some of those folk...

I had to humble myself and share with a friend what happened. Turned out he had been scammed before.

His advice:
Call your credit card company and reverse the charge. PayPal will have to do what they say. When you open up a dispute via PP it can end up going nowhere.

Since I did use my CC to pay I think I will wait another day or two to make sure it wasn't just an honest mistake(oversight) and then contact my CC company.

sunkssss, we should collaborate on our opening a dispute on PP, as in I would like to be able to reference your account name so that my dispute is linked with yours. I will PM you my account so that you can do the same.

Any other ideas?

Scammers usually don't go around making 151 posts before starting a scam (of course it doesn't rule it out), since you have roughly 30 days to reverse the charge on your CC, give him the benefit of the doubt for just a couple more days to respond.

He even linked to a myspace page (i'm hesistant to say HIS myspace page) which would make him that much easier to track by the authorities. You can ask the admins here to track his IP as well which will also help authorities track down the user.

Have you two receive a paypal email to confirm that he's accepted your money? (It's different from the email to state that you've sent him money)
