Glass is perfect with some brassing on aperture ring. This lens is very usable @ 2.8 and really gets sharp @ f4-8. And, no sticky/slow diaphragm problems! The only reason I am selling this this is because I found an excellent deal on a 35mm f2.0, and don't need Pentax front & rear caps & UV filter included.
