[SOLD] FS: Vivitar 400mm f/5.6

For sale is a Vivitar 400mm f/5.6 TX lens for K-mount. It's an older manual focus lens.

This is the more compact version of the Vivitar 400mm with a 77mm filter diameter. It comes with a metal Vivitar front cap, a generic rear cap, a 77mm matched Vivitar UV filter, and a hard case. It also has a built in retractable hood. Since this is a TX lens, it has a removable mount module, similar to an Adaptall mount. It comes with a K-mount adapter. When the adapter is attached, the lens feels just like a normal K-mount lens. In fact, I didn't even realize that it had a removable mount for a while.

It has a tripod mount that's also built into the lens body.

It's an older lens so it has the usual specs of dust, but they don't seem to have affected the image quality (see sample images below). In fact, in normal lighting, the glass looks perfect to me.

Price lowered to $115 + shipping

I'll take Paypal or money order and I'll ship internationally. I have a few references on this forum in my profile and I have ebay references here:

Is it manual aperture, too?

And this may be a dumb question, but what's with having both white and green marks on the aperture ring?

Yeah, it's manual aperture too. I'm not sure about the white and green aperture ring marks. The aperture ring only turns in the direction of the white marks.

If you still have this in like a week or two (which is probably not likely) I would have the money for it. A little short right now

I think the doubled aperture scale is because of the interchangeable mount. Some cameras have the aperture ring turning one way, and others have it turning the other. So if you put a Canon FD mount on this lens, for example, it would probably use other other set of numbers.
