Wow, I personally had to do double take on this thread. I guess if my white k-x suffers the same fate as yours, I'd move too... Waiting for warranty service without ETA is really a pain. Even if i have K10D for my backup, the K-x is just so versatile. They should just send you a new one, imho. I'm sure you have sold alot of limiteds / dslrs for pentax just from your blog. You certainly did for my 40mm

sorry for the problem

When my K10D behaved strangely, I just sold it for parts to save my headache. However, my K10D was out of warranty and it had accumulated about 75,000 shots. So it was a no brainer decision.

My Kx has one minor problem now. Once I get another body, I will send it out for Pentax service. I may follow your path afterward....

What is going on with your Kx? I have one and I'm just wondering how reliable are they?

Sorry to hear about your K-x.

..but painfully I agree and you have more experience on this issue (as I remain somewhat ignorant of new tech and stubbornly insistent on using manual focus only.) I'm not clear on what direction pentax wants to take and nikon seems to be making some head way with each release of theirs. Something about pentax bodies though that still compells me to be the fanboy that I am. Like going stick shift on an old rust bucket.

Well keep me posted on where you'll go from here, bud!
I am not entirely leaving Pentax. I have MX and 645N but I will trim as much as I can afford to on digital. When you see any of my DA*, F* and FA limited in marketplace, that will be the true signals.

All of my m42 are up for grabs and that includes my one of the kind Photosniper with the stock gun Tair-3 Phs 300mm f/4.5 that you have the other copy. M42 won't work in the new body that I am planning for. And all K-mount that can't be used on my film cameras will be next in 28/58/17-70/135/50-135/70-210/105/300/300/400/

Hate to see you so disappointed with Pentax. Your posts and blog led me to buying the K-x (white), Sigma 17-70 and now the DA40/DA70 (used).

Good luck with getting everything fixed.

Hin, very sorry to hear about your bad experience with Pentax service. I just hope you are absolutely sure about selling so many gems.

I can't wait to meet with buyers today in Mission Coffee. I do have surprises for my buyers with extra lens bag, filter, and a brand new mono-pod. It is something how I treat my buyer who pays full price.

My DA 21mm is still up for grabs, please help me out as years of stupidity in Pentax LBA and CBA leave me insane in 9 limited lens collection along with F* and DA* and wazoo of K mount and m42 lenses. And it will take serious efforts to undo my loyalty and stupidity with Pentax.

Thanks,
Hin

Thank you so much to two local buyers who are extremely friendly and kind and we did have coffee from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. It was a fantastic experience. Much thanks to the buyers to carry my gems in Pentax. My most loved lens in DA limited lens is the 70mm and my cutest primes is the 40mm pancake. And my love with primes starts with the 50mm f/1.4. SOLD status have just been updated.

Warmest Regards,
Hin

Price for 21mm limited is adjusted lower from $425 to $410

For US buyers: $422.00 shipped

For Intl buyers: $450.00 shipped, subject to countries but on this price for Australia, Brazil and Spain and few other places with members that I quoted earlier in PM.

Shipping will use USPS priority mail with $400 insured value and there is unfortunately no tracking provided once out of US

Thanks,
Hin
