FA 43mm, Made in Japan, Early Production $600
The fabled early production run FA43 with brown bag and supposedly different coating.

This was supposedly New Old Stock when I bought it. I paid more than I'm asking. There is a scratch on the distance scale, the rear lens cap is a little bit different than usual but it says Asahi Pentax. The was some dust in the lens cap so the previous seller cleaned it out and it looks like the cleaning tool scratched the felt. The lens wouldn't focus to infinity when I got it so I took it to the Pentax Authorized Repair Facility up the road and they fixed that, but when it was returned it back focused a bit following full extension. Apparently the ribs that indicate focal travel were damaged—or something like that—so that when it extended to infinity it lost its position, and when it returned to where it thought focus was it failed to get to the right location. So I sent the lens to Pentax USA under warranty from the infinity adjustment (the repair facility here is really awesome, but part of me thinks they caused the problem because it didn't have broken ribs when it arrived judging from my photos before infinity adjustment). Pentax USA sat on the lens for months and months and I only recently got it back. Pentax USA decided to keep the original rear cap for themselves and returned it with a Tamron cap, and I had the local shop swap the Tamron for the old Pentax rear cap. The front cap is original MIJ, which feels heavier than the new style and looks a bit different. A former user named Rice**** has a comparison of the cap styles if you care to search.
I've shot with it a few times and it works like a charm now. I've done all the work to get this lens operational, now it needs an owner to use it.
Made in Japan. Original packaging. Very rare. Priced to move.
FA 77mm, Made in Japan $800
You can't buy made in Japan 77mm lenses anymore (that I've seen). You can decide for yourself whether MIJ is better than AIV, many of you will have your own opinion. Further complicating matters is the fact that FA77 prices are steadily moving North.
The bottom line is that this is my favorite lens and it is hard for me to sell.
Made in Japan. Original packaging.
DAL 55-300mm SOLD 10-17mm Fisheye SOLD Asahi Pentax Spotmatic with goodies $50
I bought this in a box of lenses. I don't know anything about this camera, other than the fact that this guy took great care of his lenses. Looks like the owner used a tripod often.
I unscrewed the base plate and used vinegar to loosen the battery, and I removed the old battery. But I didn't find a replacement battery, so the compartment is empty.
This has a "hat" for flash on the prism. It isn't electrically connected, use the external flash port with your own wire.
Also includes a right angle viewfinder with leather pouch. The viewport rotates so you can use this in portrait orientation or upside down if you choose. I've read that a dremel can be used to take a centimeter off the bracket so that it fits on a modern DSLR.
The price is more flexible than the other items because I don't know the Spotmatic market. Make an offer.
