[SOLD] Pentax F 1.7x AF Adapter (Mint) (Worldwide)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax F 1.7x AF Adapter (Mint)

Asking Price
US$335

Item Location
Tokyo, Japan

Item Description
Pentax F 1.7x AF Adapter

I have 4 available for immediate shipment.

Item condition:
- Brand new, unused.

I would rate the condition of this converter as mint. This item is un-opened box, never used. This item comes with open warranty certificate, but I'm not sure if Pentax warranty is transferable from the original owner (me). For obvious reasons, I'm unable to supply the original purchase receipt. It would be best to assume that this item has no manufacturer's warranty. I am, however, willing to offer a 30 day money back warranty in the unlikely event that something goes wrong.

Item description:
This converter is suitable for all digital and 35mm film SLR cameras, which has a Pentax K-mount.

This adapter needs no introduction. If you're looking at this listing, you should know all the details already. However, to be fair to the newbies, I will state that this adapter not only works as a 1.7x teleconverter, but it also adapts an older manual focus lens into an autofocus lens. So, in effect, your 50mm f1.4 manual focus lens becomes an 85mm f2.5 autofocus lens!

Other included items:
- This converter comes complete with both front and rear caps, soft pouch, instruction manual (Japanese), warranty certificate (see note above), and box as per original package.

See picture below.

- Item will be shipped to your PayPal registered address only.
- Insurance is included in the postage.

Admittedly I'm confused as to how this converter will change a manual focus lens into auto focus. I think there must be a mistake in your listing.

eccs19.

The adapter has the ability to focus within itself. It will only do so within limits, so you have to manually focus close to where the focus point is then the adapter will take over and autofocus. I use mine with manual and AF lenses even SDM lenses and it works well. Lenses need to be f4 or faster.

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't know such a beast existed.

To confirm what eccs19 said: yes it does that!

This TC is very much sought after too.

Tom, you are the only person I have ever corresponded with from Japan and i can't imagine anybody that could be more important (I have a narrow view range of interests) than someone who can provide a trickle of new AF 1.7x TCs via the PF marketplace. Thanks. Incidently, the one i picked up from you long ago is still very happy here.

Is there still one left? Very tempting.

Tom's high feedback score of 75 doesn't even begin to describe the service he provides. He ships extremely fast and items are always better than described. This needs to go soon so I don't find a chunk of change missing from my wallet soon.

Brilliant - I had heard about this item here:
F 1.7X AF
but it was said to have been out of production since 1997. Is this the same one, or did they begin making a similar product again?

I am definitely interested - do you know much the shipping charge would be to Denmark?

I would definitely second (or third) that. Tom is a highly reliable seller with excellent communication skills. I purchased my Kenko 1.4X Px-AF from him and got a fair price and fast delivery.

I can vouch for the seller too. Very reliable and the TC I got from him has served me well.

You are doing a service for the community here, as someone already noted.
