[SOLD] Pentax MZ-5n in EX condition (Worldwide)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax MZ-5n in EX condition

Asking Price
$125 shipped in USA

Item Location
Santa Fe, NM

Item Description
For sale is my Pentax MZ-5n autofocus film camera. This camera is the same model as the ZX-5n sold overseas. It's got the soul of a manual camera in a totally modern package. Very quick AF, nice viewfinder, lightweight and small. Lots of physical dials rather than fussing with LCD screens.

This camera is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. I've put several rolls through it in the years I've owned it and the images were all perfectly metered and exposed. The mirror is clean, inside is clean, film advance works correctly, electronics are all good, flash pops up well. The only imperfection I can find is that the viewfinder has two flecks of dust in it, probably easily removable with a tiny bit of effort.

Included: Camera, body cap, original black strap (no batteries included)

I think you are overreacting. Just because there are (?) some reports of problems?

There are thousands of these cameras out there and very few developed problems. At todays prices just get one and enjoy. It's going to take lots of time and luck to find rather rare camera who's owner loved it so much to spend $$ for fixing it and at the same time want's to get rid of it now for less that he paid for repair.

I used mine for many years without even knowing how much risk I was in

Life is too short to wait for perfection.

I agree, but it's the customer's choice what they want to look for.

I am now looking at 2 cameras: MZ-5n and PZ1 and can't decide which one I should buy. MZ-5n is small and light and with a pancake lens is great to carry along for traveling. PZ1 is big but has better features.

Yes, that's true. Personally, I like the MZ-5n for its physical controls (rather than menu-based) and small size, but beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, no?
