Can I ask - what happened to the hood?

It arrived slightly damaged when I bought the lens. Since I don't use those petal hoods anyway (I don't use my other petal hoods either), I gave it to a local fellow Pentaxian. My zooms have single or triple position foldout rubber hoods, depending on the scope of the lens.
