Happily, this is not an "I'm broke" or an "I don't like the camera" or even an "I'm switching brands" story. It is simply an "I'm impatient" story...

I ordered the K-5 from Singapore, but was told there would be a lengthy delay - so I went and bought another K-5 over the counter the day it was released here in Australia.

The K-5 from Singapore was shipped to me before I cancelled the order (oops!).

Result? I now have a BRAND SPANKING NEW Pentax K-5 (lens never mounted, battery never inserted) I need to sell.
It is new in the box, and includes all the usual goodies - manual, strap, body cap, software CD, cables, etc. I have even swapped chargers so you get the genuine Australian one.

To sweeten the deal, I am including two extras:
1. Used (PERFECT, AS NEW condition) Pentax DA 18-55mm WR lens. PICTURED BELOW. Weather sealing means it is perfect match for the K-5. Includes original hood, rear cap and manual. This sells for minimum $300 from Australian retailers.

2. Brand new Battery Grip for Pentax K-5. PICTURED BELOW. This is NOT the original Pentax D-BG4, but it sure looks like one! This is an excellent third party grip which boast the same functions as the D-BG4 (including the ability to use either the normal K-5 battery or AA's), excellent build quality, matches the K-5 perfectly. The big difference is that this grip IS NOT weather sealed so should not be used in wet weather. Obviously this grip is worth less than the original D-BG4 which sells for $350+ in Australian shops.

I'm asking $1695 for the whole kit - which is less than most Australian shops want for the body alone.

The only "catch" is that if you have a warranty issue with the K-5, you will need to send it back to Singapore for service. In other words, you save hundreds on purchase price and the only potential cost is $30-50 shipping in the rare event of a warranty issue.

If it wasn't a 3rd party grip, the price wouldn't be so low!
The original grip is definitely better, but this one is such a good replica, it is perfect for anyone who is happy to forego weather sealing on the grip to save a couple of hundred dollars.

For those interested in part of the combo (i.e. body plus lens, no grip - or body plus grip, no lens), feel free to PM me with an offer.

Hopefully an Aussie jumps on this soon. I think it's well priced, but will consider offers - but please don't waste time with "low-balling" offers that are obviously below what this beauty is worth.

Would prefer to sell it on here - even though my experience is showing that ebay yields a better price and quicker sale.
