Hi sholtzma,

Could you say what shipping to the UK would cost? Thanks.

I'll check. Where in the UK, or does that not matter for shipping purposes?

"or it can be used to autofocus a manual focus lens" - can you elaborate? I don't see how that's at all possible...

That's its purpose. Its an AF adapter. It's only incidentally a teleconverter. You can read the front cover of the manual here:
Manual Cover for Pentax SMC Pentax-F AF Adapter 1.7X User's Guide

(Zoom in on the image for some specs)

It has an AF mechanism in it - as long as the focus is approximately correct on the MF lens (which often means leaving it at infinity) it will make an adjustment within its own internal focus mechanism (something most TCs lack) and AF it the rest of the way. With an AF lens, the AF mechanism on this adapter is used instead of the one in the lens.

Fortunately the IQ is good with this TC/AF adapter. Sometimes I use it with my K200/2.5 to get roughly a 340/4.5 with AF. Although not as nice as an FA* or F*300/4.5, it's still pretty good.
