Item Description
I am selling my babied super-zoom Manual Lens. Kiron 28-210mm f/4-5.6in PKA R Ricoh lens.

I love this lens. I had one since new around 20 years ago. Then after few moves, I lost it in the unopened boxes and after I stop my hobbie for few years. After I renew my photography hobbie I found the lens and discovered that the inner glass elements had fungus on it. It will cost almost as much to clean it. To say the least I was crushed. Then I started to look for another copy and managed to find one New Old Stock in a store that was closing some years ago. I used it few time and alway kept it in a temperature control closet so I will not loos it again.

The lens is clean, the blades are snappy and the glass is pristine and free of fungus. Comes with original front caps and a rear caps. I lost the box, but I still have the instruction manual.

See a review here:

Kiron 28-210mm f/4-5.6 Review & Sample Images - Canon Digital Photography Forums

PS. I still have the other copy (obviously tuck away from the other lenses for) hopping I can still clean it and get some used out of it.

Bump for a very fine lens! I must add that it mated to the Kx without a problem but would not with my k200d. After looking at the lens and checking out the configuration of the contacts and pins it was discovered to have the dreaded Ricoh pin. No problem, all I did was disable it and it worked flawlessly. It now is my main manual lens on the K200d.

Thanks jlamorie. IT is a very nice lens. The buyer all it had to do is to remove the Ricoh PIN and it will be ready to enjoy this beauty. I used it in my manual film bodies without a problem.
Open to offers btw.

I have a copy of the Amateur Photographer review of half a dozen superzooms (April 1987).

They say: "Very consistent results and a good handling superzoom. The best non-AF superzoom available" and point out that the front element doesn't rotate as you focus, so polarizing filters don't have to be constantly adjusted.

High praise ... worth a bump
