Vivitar Auto Wide Angle 24mm 1:2 Made by Kiron in Excellent condition

Item Description
I am re-listing this lens. The previous buyer wanted it for his K5 DSLR. I had never use this lens in a DSLR, this lens was always mounted in my film cameras. The lever guard was too big for DSLRs, so he returned to me.

I took the guard out and modified so it will fit my DSLR (K20D). Now I can mount the lens and take pictures in manual mode. I suffer from high astigmatism and it is very difficult to use manual lenses specially since I do not have a split screen in my DSLR.

I am selling my favorite wide angle lens. The Vivitar 24mm F/2 in PK mount lens made by Kiron Serial # 2280XXXX lens.

The lens is in excellent condition. The blades are snappy and free of oil. The mount looks like it was never mounted in a camera and still have the shiny look.

The glass is clean and free of fungus. It comes with the original Vivitar front cover and a generic rear cover.

I love this lens very much. However, I am not shooting in manual anymore and I would like this one to go to a new home that will be able to appreciated and use it.

The price is firm and I would not like to take it to the auction site. I seen the 28mm f/2 selling for more that what I am offering this 24mm f/2 lens. International shipping will be actual. Cross Border Paypal fees will apply (1.5%)

I bought n AF sigma 24mm 2.8 and this one just sit sadly in the closet.

Note: There is a small mark in the front glass by the 55mmm letters. It is outside the shooting angle and in no way affect the IQ or show in the pictures. Else is excellent condition.

I am looking for a trade this lens and/or other + cash for a Pentax FA 77mm Limited. If interested let me know.

Same as for the K20D (APC crop factor). The image will look like it was taken with a 36mm f/2 lens in a film camera.

Thanks Marlboroman, it is really a nice lens. Unfortunately, I can use manual lenses anymore due to my eyes condition. I am slowly selling my Manual lenses collection.

slightly off topic but i am curious about the modification you did to the lever guard. I have the 28mm version of this same lens which i've just listed on eBay...as long as i've owned it, in order to stop it down, i've had to back the lens off the bayonet mount just slightly or the aperture lever does not engage properly. I just assumed it is out of adjustment but do you think it needs this modification?? I searched and found no other mention of this type of issue anywhere. thx

My, I send you the a message on how I modified the lens to fit the DSLRs.

Lens still available. If you buy both the Vivitar 24mm f/2 and the Pentax M 40mm 2.8 I will give you a very good deal. Try me.
