[SOLD] Kiron 105mm f2.8 macro M42 converted (Worldwide)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Kiron 105mm f2.8 macro M42 converted

Asking Price
€200,€180€170

Item Location
Den Haag, The Netherlands

Item Description
The legendary Kiron 105mm f2.8 macro in M42-mount. The lens is converted from a MD(Minolta)-mount to M42. Infinity focus was lost because of the conversion.

The lens is optically in excellent condition and the outside has some minor marks. The Kiron 105mm macro goes all the way to 1:1 and is considered on of the best macrolenses ever made. On par with other legendary macrolenses like the Tokina 90mmm AT-X f2.5, Vivitar Series 1 105mm f2.5 etc.

I have used the lens with catch-in focus on a Pentax K-x, if the contacts are shorted catch-in focus will work on the Pentax DSLR's that support this function.

Open for trade-offers from EU countries only. If sold it's available worldwide (EU included).

Hi
I have several questions:
1) can you control aperture from the camera
2) do you mean it will not focus at all when the subject is a few meters away or how far does it have to be before you can no longer focus
3) will you include an m42 to PK adapter ring
4) what is the actual price drop if any
thanks

No but you can meter in AV-mode, aperture is controlled from the lens. Functionality is like a M42 lens switched to M on the lens.

Around 10m, best is to use it for macro only. Hence the lower price than PK-mount Kiron's.

No

Price dropped from 200 to 180. If it doesn't sell I will keep the Kiron as a backup for my Vivitar Series 1 105mm.
