Hi everyone--just in from work and am swamped with PMs--would take a lot of time to answer them all, and I am tired too.
Many of the PMs have similar questions. I am going to post here in an effort to save time and to be fair as possible. Let me start with these things`
When I posted the sale, I thought the 3-years remaining on the warranty would simply move to the new owner. Here is the Tamron website link which clearly spells out the Warranty terms:
Warranty I was wrong--Tamron website is clear the warranty does not transfer. However, all that is needed to claim a warranty is the original receipt, which I have and would give to the new buyer. I do not see how Tamron would know the lens was sold, unless the new buyer tells them this.
So, this affects my confidence in the sale, because I want the lens to find a happy home, and 3 plus years on a warranty would be conducive to that. Some have asked, if I sell without warranty, would I drop price? Others have asked about possible trades. Still others have asked about me acting as a liason if ever there is a need for warranty--and some have asked to buy it. This is getting too confusing--here I what I would like.
1) I prefer the lens go to an owner with a body which allows micro adjusments for AF. While the lens works great on my K20d, I have read far to many posts here about 17-50s with bf/ff issues--especially with bodies that offer no micro adjustment.
2) Since the warranty is now in doubt, I will fully refund (minus shipping one way) anyone who has any issue with the lens, so long as it is returned within 14 days.
3) Yes, all of the pics in this ad were PPed by me, to my tastes. These are not in-camera jpgs, PPed by the camera. The camera makes nice jpgs with the lens, but I have always been able to outdo the camera (IMO) i=with a Raw and my PC.
Anyone still interested in the lens, please PM me and let me know and I'll start from scratch on picking a buyer--trader?

Hi everyone--thank you for all the questions and interest. The lens is sold, pending payment.
If it falls through, I would offer it to the next in line.
Best Regards,
