[SOLD] Pentax 35mm f2.8 Macro Limited (LTD) (US)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax 35mm f2.8 Macro Limited (LTD)

Asking Price
$450

Item Location
Independence, MO, USA

Item Description
This is a very sweet lens at what is a "normal" focal length for the APS/C sensors, and like all of the LTDs, it's just beautiful. Why am I getting rid of it, then? That's a very good question - it's going in my K-5 fund, of course. I don't use this lens because I also have the *incomparable* FA 35mm f2 and the 100mm DA Macro.

This lens has been on my K20d twice and on my *istDL twice. Maybe 100, 150 images taken with it. Its edge-to-edge sharpness is surprising, and at f5, stuff looks like it's cut out and laid out in 3d. If I did a lot of copywork, this is the lens I'd want. I bought it from Amazon last year or the year before (I don't remember) and it's spent most of its time in its pouch in my lens cabinet.

I could probably get more on ebay, but I would like for it to go to a Pentax enthusiast that can appreciate it. As you can see, it's nearly unused.

Heeh! That's how I felt when I bought it, but I got over it.

It really hurts to let go of it, but I don't use it enough to justify keeping it, and it's a big chunk of what I still need to get a k-5. I'm still using my K20D - great camera, but the K-5 is just amazing. I think the 100mm 2.8 is a better lens for macro work, because of working distance; I like to shoot creepy crawlies and bitey-stingy things. If you shoot things that aren't bitey, this lens might be a little sharper in the corners than the 100, although I think the 100 has the edge in the center, they're that close.
