[SOLD] Tamron SP 300mm f2.8 and 1.4 Teleconverter Set (Worldwide)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Tamron SP300 f2.8 and 1.4 Teleconverter Set

Asking Price
$850

Item Location
Scottsdale

Item Description
Sadly selling my favorite fast lens to fund my new K-5. I bought this Tamron SP 300 f2.8 kit, apparently new and unused in original box about two years ago and have used it only a handful of times.

This is the Model 60B and the kit includes hand-grip, filter holder, clear glass filter, lens hood, lens cap, 1.4 X teleconverter and padded carrying case. It is in absolutely mint condition with no sign of use other than perhaps a speck or two of dust.

I will add a mint Pentax KA Adaptall adapter for $75.

This is a very sharp and fast lens with that is still very highly regarded. Full details can be found here: Tamron SP Adaptall-2 300mm F/2.8 LD-IF Model 60B

Tough choices. Bodies an' mega-pixels come 'n go but those good ol' SP 300/2.8's will still be around when Pentax delivers that mythical FF. I was just messin' around with my 360B and 63B and the 140F TC this morning.

Somebody needs to give this a good home.

I am simultaneously happy and sad that I can not buy that lens.

Is this a KA or AF lens?

With a Tamron Adaptall K/A adapter (which I am offering as an option), the lens has "A" functions that enables the camera to control aperture so it does not need stopping down. It has internal manual focus.

How you taunt me! I just received the Pentax-F f4.5 300mm ED(IF) I snagged that was posted here on Sunday. And now this! Quit tempting me!

Yes, I can ship to Hong Kong. The package will weigh about 10 pounds. I can arrange US Postal Service Priority Mail insured for $75. I am not sure if there are any cheaper options, but will check.

Wow, a like new, twenty plus years old lens. So unlike mine which shows plenty of battle scars but her innards are pure!

That is a real beauty and in Pristine condition. I am glad I do not have that kind of cash and can shoot manual anymore. Good luck in the sale.

I never installed or used it with a front filter since the hood gives plenty of protection for the main element and there is provision for internal filters if you really want to use them.

What kind of filter are you talking about? A UV, CPL, or a special filter that is part of the optical formula? Unless you refer to the last one, you do not need a UV or CPL.

To the seller: Do you have one or two photos taken with this lens. I am still making up my mind.

All PMs replied to, with several offers on hand. Will post further pictures this weekend if it remains unsold.
