[SOLD] FA: SMC Pentax-A* 300mm F2.8 ED [IF]

Im done argueing with members about the condition of the lens. People say im being fishy when i have been completely honest about the condition and history of the lens with pictures of proof? Get lost.
Bottom line: You dont like or dont have the money? Move along.

Its going on ebay.

I appreciate those who gave an honest response and who helped me with my first thread. You are good people. SYB comes to mind off the top of my head. Thanks SYB!

Just an observation, officially, and trivial though some may think it, there is no 12 am and 12pm.
Is noon am or pm, ( is noon the end of the mornign or the start of the afternoon).. likewise midnight. 12 noon and 12 midnight are the correct interpretations,
I naturally assume you mean midnight.

For clarification purposes (not nitpicking!), 12 PM refers to noon, not midnight (consult your digital clock - it ticks over to PM at noon).

Since you joined this forum for the express purpose of selling this lens for your dad (which is not the purpose of these forums), it would be a good gesture to make a donation from the sale price to the forum's admin costs (since you are saving quite a bit in listing and final value fees if you sell it here instead of ebay), At very least, factor in the cost of selling on ebay when you are working out what would be a fair price to sell it, and pass some of this on to the buyer.

Good luck

12PM as in Afternoon or high noon. Like a gun fight! I didn't want to keep anyone up past their bed time trying to make a last minute bid.

Thanks for the insight, bonovox, according to a digital clock your right.
Still maintain it is done for convenience even if its not strictly correct.
However, point conceded, and I am shown to be a bit old fashioned I suppose,!

Guys, leave this stuff to PM. If prices aren't meant to be discussed other than by PM, trivial nitpicking has no place either! Good luck Ignitrous.

Iregret that you see this as nitpicking. Through my point, I found out that my interrpretation was wrong. and in that I find my point valuable. I would have assumed the intent was midnight, not midday. Call me thick if you like,
If I was wrong so may have others been.
I dont see it as nitpicking but a point of clarification and if that upsets you, my apologies.

I've seen the photos of this lens - not so good looking. I want the lens but, this deal seems strange..

Anyway, I'll offer $800 to get the bids rolling.

And, how about some sample photos taken with the lens? You said your father owns it, he surely must have a camera to attach it to...

Isn't the answer to that last question provided in another thread by this user? I believe I saw some pics. Story was that he had to go to a shop, to borrow a camera, in order to attach this lens to it and make sample shots.

It will be interesting to see what the market determines as the value of this lens, and whether this determined value will match your expectations. Good luck with the sale.
