Item Description
I am selling one of my last Manual Focus lenses.

The Vivitar Series 1 24-70mm f/3.8-4.8 PKA in like new condition.
It was Repaired by Eric Hendrickson ($50) and comes with One Year warranty period.

I bought the lens New Old Stock from a small store that was closing. I use it few times and I started to hear something loose inside. So I put it away and forgot about it.

Since I can no longer use Manual lenses, I decided to send it to Eric for repair. He fixed, and it looks, feels and perform as new plus you have 1 year if something happen.

The lens glass is free of scratches and the blades are snappy and free of oil. Original front cap included, I think the back cover is generic.

I have a 67mm UV filter included as well. It comes with the Hard case, instruction manual, Dealer's sales record (warranty card) that no longer applicable.

I am also including the original receipt from Eric for warranty purposes.

The lens is very nice and takes very nice pictures. It is wide enough and has a nice zoom range.

You practically get an almost new lens with 1 tear warranty.

Shipping is included in the asking price unless you live in the North East USA that will be $7 or for international buyers will be the asking price with $10 towards shipping.

Final Price Reduction. $100 + actual shipping. (I spend $50 + shipping for a CLA by Eric) so basically you are getting a lens just cleaned and calibrated with 12 year warranty from him.

This is my bottom price.

This seems like a really nice lens. My girls have a Kr, and a K2000, (which I think is a Kx). Would this lens work with them ??

I have several Spotties, with the M42 mount. Would this lens be a good fit with the vintage film cameras ? Is there an adapter available ?

Regards,

Jim Svarz

Jim:
It will work great in the Kr and K2000 cameras. It is the PK/A mount.

I do not think so there is an adapter to fit your Spormatics. There is a M42 to PK mount but no the other way around.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

That's promising. Would this then be just like a 24 mm to 70 mm as in a Film camera ?

I'm under the impression (wrong or not), that a 24 mm on a digital is like a 45 or 50 mm .

Due to the APC crop sensor, the 24mm appears as 36mm focal length. So the lens in a DSLR is like 36-105mm in a film camera.

Thanks jj. I was looking for something more wide angle than this. Thanks for the clarification on the difference between the film and digital.

Bump and Final price reduction. I can't go lower than $90 shipped CONUS. Just the CLA from Eric was over $50.

Bump. Make me an offer I can't refuse.

I can not longer use manual lenses due to my eye-sight and I have no use of this lens. It is very good wide angle to mid telephoto in a film camera.
