[SOLD] Canon 5D (MkI) and 70-200/4L IS Lens (Worldwide)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Canon 5D (MkI) - withdrawn and 70-200/4L IS Lens lens has been sold

Asking Price
$1000 each

Item Location
Maryland

Item Description
I was going to just sell these locally or on ebay, but I figured I'd list them here just in case someone was interested.

I recently bought a Canon 5D (mark I) and a 70-200/4L IS lens, mostly to try out the 70-200/4 and see what all the fuss was about. Turns out most of the fuss is for good reason; the lens is super wide open, it's lightweight, easy to handle and the AF is really quick. I wasn't as crazy about the 5D body's handling overall, although I think that's because I'm so used to my Pentax bodies. At the end of the day I realize I really have no need for a second system and prefer my Pentax gear.

The lens is in excellent condition with no marks on the body nor glass. It comes with the original hood, caps, pouch and box. The 5D body is also in excellent shape and is from one of the last runs (serial number 36xxxxx). The body comes with only a battery, body cap, neck strap and a Canon double battery charger.

I am asking $1000 for each. I will try and take some additional pictures tomorrow evening if anyone is interested. Again, not really expecting a lot of interest on the forum for Canon gear, but I figured I'd post it just in case.

Yea, really wish other manufacturers can make a 70-200 f4 with the same quality on their own. it is one of canon's greatest bargains.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell other than sending it to Canon's service dept.

No, tried that first. Then I did an extensive search on the internet to see how I could get the number, but came up empty. Turns out you can pull it off the 1D series and the 5D MkII, but not the original 5D MkI. That said, if anyone reading this has a way of doing it, please let me know as I would me more than happy to try
