Item Description
Super-Multi-Coated Macro-Takumar 1:4/100, serial# 7725972, part# 43922. this is a 1:2 lens, meaning it will need extension tubes to reach full 1:1 magnification. this lens is in like new condition with original packaging and accessories. this includes: box, owners cards, lens manual, case strap (still in packaging) foam case bumpers, case, original front and rear lens caps, original lens hood, and original silica gel packet.

the lens itself is like new and fully functional. aperture blades are snappy and oil free. glass is clean and clear with no fungus, mold, scratches, marks, coating damage, separation, fogging, etc. the lens barrel is pristine with no visible scratches, paint loss, bright marks, etc. lens hood, and caps are of equal like new condition with no marks or scratches.

the lens case however is in much worse shape. these S-M-C Takumars (especially the really late manufactured ones like this one) took a big hit in quality and the lens cases usually show this much more than any lens. the case has cracks, the foam padding on the inside of the case top is coming off and the actual top piece has come unglued. (this could be easily fixable, but I have decided to leave that up to the buyer) I have attempted to show the best I can the condition of the lens and case, but excuse my use of wide aperture as I have no lightbox for taking such photos. I believe though, you can see all you will need to see. since it has seen virtually zero use since I purchased it, it is indeed ‘like new’.

I have gotten quite a number of offers on this lens (overwhelming number actually) and i’ve been trying to deal with a very recent and still painful separation from my fiancée.
