Up for sale is one of Pentax great lens: Pentax A* 300mm f4, which is kind of rare now. The lens is in excellent condition cosmetically. All glass are great except for 2 marks on front glass (shown in the pictures), which will not affect your image quality. No fungus, oil etc inside. Come with both original caps and built-in hood.

Thanks for comments. Yes, the lens is very compact, especially compared to FA* or DA * version. Also the price is around half of them.

I think so. I did not have M* but from the review and parameters they look like sharing the same optics.

Anybody knows?

I have the M* version, if not I would grab this beauty.

As for the minor faults, could you post some of the photo taken by this lens, so everyone feel comfortable with it? I don't think these small marks will affect the IQ since it is a 300mm, and not just any 300mm.

I didn't see yours before paying $481 on ebay for a similar condition one without lens caps. This is a really sharp lense.
