AF Asking Price USD $275.00 Net Item Location Toronto, Canada Item Description Sigma High-Speed Wide 28mm f/1.8 II Aspherical AUTO FOCUS. Includes original bayonet tulip hood and front-cap. Generic rear-cap. Without original package or documentation. This lens is in good shape and the glass is clean. There are some minor marks in the soft-touch body and screen-printed lettering. Recently, I sold the (otherwise identical) manual-focus version of this lens to acquire this AF version from another PF member. After using it for a few weeks, I still mostly use manual-focus and already have a Voigtlaender 40mm f/2.0 so don't need both lenses in this focal-length range. On my K-m and K-x bodies, the maximum aperture shows as f/1.7. It has 7 aperture blades and has wonderfully soft bokeh. You can see samples from my earlier MF version here. It's been called the poor-man's DA31/1.8 Ltd... Compared to newer Sigma 28mm f/1.8 lenses, it's relatively compact and does not block the built-in flash and has a 58mm filter thread. Approximate physical dimensions are Ø67mm x L65mm x 310g. The physical size is very similar to the DA 18-55II, there are some comparison photos below. With this small size, it plays really nice with built-in flash. Unlike newer Sigma lenses, it focuses in the same direction as Pentax lenses, a nice touch. Minimum focus distance is 30cm. It's a full-frame lens with an aperture-ring and does work on film bodies!    This lens' size compared to DA 18-55 II:   Are you the original owner of the item being sold?
