Carl Zeiss Jenazoom 80-200mm f4.5-5.6 lens in K mount

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Carl Zeiss Jenazoom 80-200mm f4.5-5.6 lens in K mount

Asking Price
$100

Item Location
Melbourne (Australia)

Item Description
This is a pretty unusual beast, the Jenazoom 80-200mm in K-mount (made in Japan). Focusing is of course MF and metering is stop down but it meters very well in Av mode in my experience.

The lens is practically as new - the barrel is very clear and the glass and the mechanism are absolutely pristine. It comes in a snazzy leather or leather-look original case, also as new.

Apologies for the distortion and the generally crap pictures - my K-5 was away and I took the pics with my wife's Panasonic LX3 in a hurry! The marks on the barrel are just dust.

The lens is pretty small and compact and is surprisingly good - see images.

Daniel, can you provide some sample pics nearer the macro range,, 1.2, 1.1 areas of the focal scale?
Any idea of the third party manufacturer?

I do, but nothing like showing potential buyers what they can expect from a lens. With that 1.1 macro ratio potential buyers would be extremely interested in seeing the macro end in action. Also a bit of background on the lens helps, with the Jena zooms being made in Japan by third party manufacturers that LBA can be tickled byknowing who made the lens.

True, except I just don't know much about it! Also I don't think it's 1:1 macro (is there any zoom that does that?) You can probably get a touch closer than I did to the yellow rose above but not much. Still it's a good lens, solid metal construction and small.

Come on folks! $150 for this beauty - someone has got to be curious to try it.

I am sure there are people with more room in the camera bags than me...
