[SOLD] FS: Takumar lens, flash, angle finder, + more

Hi all,
Am looking to sell a few items to mitigate the cost of my new fancy – getting into older pentax lenses.

Myself, I’m new around here, but have been a regular at FM for a couple of years.

(1)

I have a Super Takumar 28mm f3.5 lens (M42 mount), with both caps, hood, and case. This lens is in absolute mint condition – shows no marks on glass nor body. Tested and functions perfectly.

Asking $65 plus shipping. Would prefer a Canadian buyer because of shipping hassle, although as usual, I can be convinced otherwise. I always use postal money orders when buying/selling online.

(2)

Also have a Asahi Pentax right angle view finder with case. This has a focus adjustment, and can also be adjusted to use at right angle up / down / left / right. This is also in mint condition – shows no marks or signs of usage, glass is clean and clear.

Asking $35 + shipping, and again would prefer Canadian buyer.

(3)

Also have 4 colored lens filters in plastic case, made in Japan. Included are:

49mm G filter (green)
49mm R2 filter (red)
49mm YG filter (green)
49mm O2 filter (orange)

Asking $10 for the lot. Not sure, but I think I can ship these in a reinforced envelope in regular post.

(4)

Last item is a flash hood with diffuser/filter kits for a Vivitar auto Thyistor 283 Flash. The kit includes:
Flash hood for vivitar 283
Set of 6 colored flash filter kit, in pouch.
Set of 4 diffusers / variable angle lens kit, in pouch.

Asking $20 plus shipping for the lot.

My, my, what small hands you have...

Just yesterday afternoon I purchased a Vivitar flash on eBay. If only I'd waited, you would have had a buyer for your flash

Does it have the "A" or is it fully Manual?

I persume you're referring to the aperature control. It has a "A" and "M" mode. If there's a difference, maybe you could elaborate?

Well, I'm new to the DSLR system, but it's my understanding that if the lens has the "A" mode on the aperture, the camera body will meter properly, and the aperture can be set with the controls on the body (when aperture ring is set to "A"). If the "A" mode is not on the lens, you have to do everything truely manually.
Also, is it a Kmount or M42 screw mount?

Ok. So, how does it work w/ the body? I know i need an M42 adapter....do you set the aperature using the aperture ring and do everything fully manually? If I'm using say, Tv mode on the K10d, will it meter and automatically set the fstop for me?

Thanks for answering all my questions. I just got my k10d and i'm looking to get some lenses...

This lens will not stop down automatically when used on a K-mount camera. You must have the auto/manual switch set to M. Focus at f/1.8, stop down to desired f/stop, take a meter reading and shoot. Use the green button or Av mode to have the shutter speed set automatically.
