[SOLD] Sigma 150-500 HSM

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sigma 150-500 HSM

Asking Price
600.00

Item Location
New Hampshire (United States)

Item Description
Sigma 150-500 HSM lens with original caps, case, (I think I have the box as well) and a Kirk Lens Foot. This lens was bought new from B&H about a year ago for 999.00

This is not the "OS" model.

Lens is in perfect condition, glass perfect. HSM works like a charm, fast to focus, very quiet.

Hood is included and in perfect shape. Finish on both lens and hood is excellent to excellent + with no dents, dings, scratches or other marks. The lens has been used so it is not "mint" but it is otherwise in excellent condition.

Comes from a smoking environment so the case may be affected.

Item will ship the same day as payment arrives via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation and Insured at no additional cost.

Selling because wife is taking a Government Buy Out and I get to move up to the Sigma 500 prime! (she would not bite on the 800)

This is a fine lens, tack sharp at F 8 - 9 - and 10. A little detail enhancement at lower or higher F stops with something like Topaz Detail will amaze you.

Please contact at agwoodard at comcast.net or by PM.

I will not ship outside of the US. Sorry.

Sigma 150-500 HSM Lens

Ok I see the lens, I still have a few questions:

1) Which lens exactly is this :

150-500 f5.0-6.3 APO, DG, OS HSM?
or
150-500 F5.0-6,3 DG, OS HSM?
or
150-500 F5.6-6.3 DG HSM OS?

What is the Max/Min Aperture for 150mm and 500mm?

2) Just to be sure this lens is for a Pentax KAF2 or KAF3 Mount?

3) Does it come with the original Box and lens case.

Please advise.

It is the 150-500 F5-6.3 APO DG HSM

It does NOT have the OS

Min app is 5.0 at 150mm and at 500mm it is 6.3

Yes I have the original box, and lens case, lens caps, and lens carry strap and strap for the case (both straps are brand new never used) as well as a Kirk lens plate (a 52.00 value)

Yes it is for a Pentax mount I have used it on a K200d, K20d, and a Kx. Works fine on all of them.

This is a very nice lens, and if I was not going to move to the Sigma 500 prime, I would not be selling it. As it is, it fits inside my Think Tank Speed Racer, and I seriously thought about keeping it because of that, but I bought the Lowpro Pro Trekker 600 to carry the big lens in, and doubt I will use this one now so I thought it might work for someone looking for a long lens.

As I said in the listing above, move up to F8 or so, and keep the shutter speed up (125 or better is good) and use good lens technique on a sturdy tripod (I use an Induro C213 carbon with a Kirk BH1 ball head) and you will get some amazing photos. It's not a prime lens, but I did not have 5 grand when I bought it either. It took me a month or so to get used to this lens, and hone my technique with it, but for the money I paid, it was and still is a fine lens.

Hope that helps a bit.

edited to add, I have the original sales receipt from B&H as well. It was purchased Feb 18, 2010

The lens is currently on hold for another member. Sorry. Also, as stated in the listing, I am only going to ship to United States addresses.
