Pentax K20D body, DBG-2 battery grip, Tokina AT-X 28-70/2.8 AF lens

For sale is a well price combo of a K20D body, original DBG-2 battery grip and a TokinaAT-X 28-70/2.8 AF lens. The camera it in excellent functional condition and very good cosmetic condition. There are a few scraps on the body as seen in the pictures below. The LCDs (rear and top) are clean and in excellent condition. I just checked the shutter count and it's just under 25k (24,994 to be exact). The original box, manual and CD are also included (not pictured). The package comes with an original Pentax DBG-2 battery grip and an extra original Pentax battery (for a total of two). The lens is a Tokina AT-X 28-70/2.8 AF, which comes with original rear cap and a generic front cap and hood. The lens is in excellent condition cosmetically. Functionally the lens is excellent as well except for a little bit of stiffness towards the wide end of the zoom range. Between 28 and 35mm the zoom ring is a little stiff. Nothing that would prevent you from getting to 28mm, but as you zoom out you can notice it. The lens (and package) is priced accordingly.

I am willing to sell things separately if there is interest, although I may hold the battery grip until the body sells to make sure whoever wants the body has the option to buy the grip.

K20D body and grip, $330 shipped (save $40) SOLD, pending local transaction
K20D body only (w/ one battery), $300 shipped
K20D grip (w/ one battery), $70 shipped
Tokina AT-X 28-70/2.8 AF lens, $250 shipped SOLD

As always, I am more than happy to send this lens just about anywhere in the world (I've shipped to over 30 different countries at this point), so please PM me for a quote if you are interested in having one or more of these items sent outside the US.

I have that exact Tokina lens, and my copy also has a stiff zoom between 28-35mm. Seems to work fine that way, even if it's a bit annoying at times.

Thanks for the post. It might just be a function of the design as I don't have another copy to compare it to. As you said, it works fine that way, it just takes a little more effort turning the zoom ring to go below 35mm.

I too have that exact Tokina lens and yes, it does get 'tighter' as I move from 35 to 28mm, so it seems to be a design 'feature'.

And Dan, as I have the lens, you cannot sell me this one...

It's a really nice lens and I would recommend it to any prospective purchaser. I would recommend the seller as a fine fella as well.

Well, I guess that's good news for a potential buyer as I priced it a bit lower than I might have otherwise thinking it may have been a less than perfect copy

Is that a challenge?

I'll buy your lens only if you buy mine first.

Somehow I think the only people that would come out ahead on that one are the US and Australian postal service

If Pentax does ever release a FF body, these older film-era f2.8 zooms should see a bump in price. I certainly enjoy using mine on film in the meantime...

Bump, with a little price adjustment.

The K20D, grip and two batteries are still for sale. The first $350 takes them all!

PM replied.

There is currently a local sale pending from someone who emailed me right before your PM. I will update the ad later tonight as to whether the body is sold or still for sale.

Thanks!
