This lens is in excellent condition and produces nothing other than spot free, pure and beautiful images.

I need not say much more, as this lens has a fantastic reputation of being sharp, even at f1.4 - of course not much is in focus at f1.4 but the stuff that is is SHARP - I also find the colours of this lens vibrant beyond anything I've used except the 21mm LTD (which is the only LTD I've used).

Hi Quazimoto,

the lens that you have listed is a K series lens, called as "SMC Pentax 50/1.4" or simply as K 50/1.4. The K series lenses are one generation older than the M series lenses. The K series lenses are considered to be better built than the M seires lenses. The optical formula of the K 50/1.4 may be same as that of M 50/1.4 except for the difference in the coating. You may be aware of these things, thought of clearing confusions if any.

Hi,

Yes I was wondering about this because I saw a picture of an M f1.4 and it had "M" on it so I thought maybe mine was a K, but the reason I thought it was an M is that it was sold to me as that from a dealer.
