This is the Pentax weather resistant SMC DA* 300mm f4 telephoto lens in almost new condition. It will come complete with box and paperwork, but no warranty card as that has already been sent in. It has the front and rear lens caps, the lens hood and the case. I have looked it over pretty closely and I cannot see any blemishes anywhere. The glass is clear with no scratches or fungus. When used on the K7 the focus is smooth and accurate and the SDM works beautifully. On the PentaxForum lens database 29 users have given it a 9.75 rating out of 10.

I purchased this lens new a few months ago during one of my LBA fits but have used it exactly twice. Once on my Pentax K7 and the other time on my Pentax PZ-1p. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it but I just don't use it. For kid's events and sports my FA* 200 is easier to handhold. For wildlife my A 400 has more reach. For travel my DA 55-300 is a lot easier to pack. As you can see, in my house anyway, this lens has become the "odd man out."

It is really a terrific lens, and part of me sincerely regrets letting it go. Really good lenses are always a terrific investment but the reality is I will never really put it to good use. So someone else may as well give it a good home.

I would be willing to drop up to $575 off this price for a Pentax DA* 55mm f1.4 in really good condition.
