This is an outstanding lens, for portrait, macro, and even as a short to medium telephoto. Focus is very fast, the lens is lightweight and it really is useful. The attached image is taken of a Cooper's Hawk across the street on a cold, dark, and cloudy day last week. It was literally a snap-shot with my K20D
