Pentax F*600mm F4 for sale

I am switching to a lighter and smaller Canon 500mm. Anybody interested; I can send images of the lens (look at my picture with this lens) and what it does. The lens is used, no doubt, but in a perfect working condition. The glass is excellent and it offers a very decisive AF with my K10D. Prefer to meet the buyer in my area so he can touch, smell and play with the lens to make 100% sure it is what he wants. The "toy" is too expensive for me to send and wonder, and too expensive for the potential buyer not to take test images and see it in person. Location: Harrisburg, PA area. I also have other Pentax items to sell.

Depends on your perspective, I suppose. I was looking online this morning at a 600mm f4 for the 6X7. It's weight was listed at over 13 lbs.! Man, I'd love to have this lens if I had the cash. But I'd have to sell a vehicle or a family member to be able to afford it.

Hi stanb

Hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm intrigued to know what model the SLR body in the bottom left-hand corner of your
photo is ?

Best regards
Richard

Looks like a Pentax 645N or NII body. Nice collection. Wish I had the money to take that 600 f4, but the holidays have not been kind to my wallet.

you're right........ i'd never consider a blind date with payment for an item like this.. and, you've only 1 post. i'd definitely need a 3rd party handling the payment details for the 2 of us.. way too much $$$ to loose..

Will you accept a kidney as payment?

This is a limited time offer, as I'm not sure how long my kidneys are going to withstand what I consume and stay operational.

What are some of the other equipment you are selling? Prices? I live quite close to Harrisburg actually and might very well be interested in some of your stuff. I would love the 600mm, but I know I do not have that kind of $$$ right now to spend on a lens.

Pentax Items for sale:

· Manfrotto 3036 tripod hardly used. Dropped once so there is one scratch. $110
· Bogen 2030 Head plus 3 quick release plates RC2 $40 good shape
· F* 600 mm F4, in a box, strap, cap and front lens cover. Optically and mechanically excellent. Very quick and decisive focus with Kd10. Normal wear mostly from placing my lens on a ground. It is 13 lbs of glass so paint can chip away. Keept all the time with other lenses in a humidity free environment. Per Stan’s Pentax Photography site: “Pål - . . . Slightly soft wide open with visible light fall-off at the corners . . . Sharp from F:5.6. Also very sharp at its smallest aperture. John Mustarde - . . . a truly fabulous lens and worth every penny of its price. . . It is very sharp at f4, extremely sharp at f8 .” My take? Soft at 4, 5.6 is fine, extremely sharp at f8, no light fall off. I use unsharp mask set at 140. 0.3 and 0 at 72 DPI (for internet). Those at f 4 look very fine after I am done. Sometimes if I get lucky I do not need to use unsharp feature. My tripod and head are too cheap and too weak for my 600mm so my technique is not so good. I just can carry more weight. Can send samples at various f stops. $5800 and I will not ship. A personal observation and test (take hundreds of shots if you like) are required. Just too expensive for both of us to have any problems.
· Pentax FA 28mm f2.8 normal use, caps, non-Pentax (useless I think) hood, no dents, scratches, etc. Optically and mechanically perfect. Glass always protected by filters. $180
· Pentax F5P extension cord plus Pentax F off camera shoe adapter $50. Perfect condition.
· Sigma 400mm f5.6 APO MACRO for Pentax AF hardly used. One hairline crack on a glass covering distance info. Otherwise looks like new. Optically and mechanically perfect. Glass always protected by filters. $450
· Tokina 80-200 AT-X Pro f2.8, caps, hood, leather box. Like new. Minimal sign of use on a hood, but not scratches or dents. . Optically and mechanically perfect. Glass always protected by filters. $800
· Pentax ZX-M Camera in box went through one roll of film, and it shows. Strap & manual. PZ1P used, cleaned and calibrated lately by Pentax (this is a free items), shows it was used, but not abused. Replaced viewfinder glass so no scratches there. FA 80-200mm F4-5.6 with caps plus Sigma 28-80mm F3.5-5.6. FA is in a great shape optically and mechanically perfect. Glass always protected by filters. Sigma should not be used in a Macro mode. Gets stack sometimes. Easy to get out of it. Hardly used. Optically perfect. $150
· Pentax MZS in box, manual, like new. Battery Grip BG 10 in box like new, cable switch for MZ-s CS-105, F5B extension cord F5P, F hot shoe adapter, , FTZ 500 flash hardly used and it shows All in boxes. $650
· Pentax 645N used but in a great shape showing only signs of handling, manual, Pentax FA 45-85mm no back cap, new strap, lots of slide and pro neg films kept in a freezer, stroboframe plate, remote cable, plus Metz 45 CL-4 looks really used ( it shows) but works like a horse, Perma Pak System Rechargeable Battery Module (works very well), SCA 3000C for Pentax with Metz so flash can work just like FTZ500. Film holders: 120 like new, 120and 220 in boxes, absolutely like new. $900
