M42 Super Takumar F2/35mm lens

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
M42 Super Takumar F2/35mm lens

Asking Price
$90.00

Item Location
Evanston, IL (United States)

Item Description
Super-Takumar 2/35mm screw mount lens
I bought this wide-angle lens in Europe in 1965, and used it as my "utility" lens for two years traveling around the continent. Then the camera body died just as I was returning to the U.S., so I carefully packed it with my other three beloved Super Takumar lenses, where it waited for a new camera body.

Last year I bought a Pentax K-x and an adapter ring, expecting to put these lenses back to work. But, I've become a point-and-shoot photographer, and have lost the patience to switch lenses routinely while walking around the Chicago Botanic Garden. So, this is the last of the collection. -- It is a beautiful lens, smooth and easy to focus, bright, sharp, excellent bokeh, clean, scratch and haze-free, and without any oil or yellowing. Someone who enjoys working with these classic, high quality lenses will be excited to use this one.

Hmmm, I sent you a PM well before jolepp. PM sent at 10:26 AM yesterday, with no reply yet.

I suppose this 'PM sent' thing here is a courtesy, a bump to alert others to the item. First come first served by the PMs themselves AFAIK. I have not yet heard back from the seller myself, under the circumstances I'd expect to hear that I was beat to it.

I rarely, perhaps never post a PM sent message. I didn't see the point till now.

My thoughts were I don't need to tell the seller they have a PM the forum software does that, the rest of the world doesn't need to know and probably doesn't care. I need to rethink this. I sent an email to Davidjewell1@me.com, guess we wait and see.

As your tagline states "LBA is a harsh mistress"

I think this "Joe" the seller is referring to is you, jolepp. It seems the seller wants to conduct his business out in the open...

Hmm. I'm not Joe and I did not ask about filter size. I think the seller needs to sort this out since only he has access to the PMs.

Selling to someone else, even if their offer to buy came in later than mine is fine by me. Otoh I will honor my offer to buy as PMd if that is what the seller wants.

Your nym is as close as possible to the name "Joe", my nym couldn't possibly be mistaken as "Joe". I agree, the seller needs to sort out the PMs in his mailbox and reply to them privately via PM, but he seems to want to conduct his business in the open forum. His email address is the key access to his PayPal account, he shouldn't be showing it willynilly to the unwashed public. There were some complaints that his/her "PM sent" posts on various item for sale page didn't have any impact on the outcome of the sale, even though he or she happen to be the first person to leave the message, and how 'unfair' it was for other devious members to send a PM and not leave a "PM sent" message. Who would of thought that a seller would take that to heart and think that it's the official policy? :ugh:

Bottom line
His lens, his business, he sell to the member he prefer.
BTW, I am not "JOE".
I sent the seller PM around 2:30pm (NO, I didn't post another PM sent here) and he didn't reply, so I sent again last night when I saw his status in "currently on-line" and still nothing back from him.
Thanks to Pepe kindly provide another link for the same type of lens, it will only cost you double plus 12. Thanks a lot man......

This is a great lens, I got it several month ago, sharp all around and the right coverage for walking around.
