I'm selling the wonderful A*300mm f4 Pentax lens. It's a gorgeous piece of optics, but I find I will not be using it enough to warrant keeping it. I think for prime work 200m would probably be the longest I'd like. That, plus the fact that the wife will not use a MF lens, means I can't justify keeping that gem.

The lens is optically and mechanically perfect. It comes with the original caps and a hard leather case that looks new. The glass is free of blemishes as far as I can see.

The body does show some signs of use, and this is why I price the lens so low (Normally these sell for above 500$). There are some scratches on the built-in hood and the filter ring has been bent slightly (I'll put up pictures tonight). It does not prevent using the lens in any way, except to mount filters (who would buy a 77mm filter, I wonder). The bend could be straightened but I'll not try it, I give you a rebate instead. It's not a collector's item but a fully functional lens.

I'm willing to consider a trade for a 200mm prime, ideally a FA of DA* (but feel free to offer something else). Cash can move both ways depending on the value.

The price is net for me, you pay paypal fees as applicable. Shipping is normally via Canada post but if you want, faster methods can be used. I have discounted the lens massively, and I am looking forward to selling it. I will not lower it more, so if it doesn't sell soon I'll just put it on eBay. I'd rather sell it to someone here on the forums.
