Not sure we have a lot of Sony/Minolta shooters on PF, but just in case, here is a like-new Sony AF 500mm F8 reflex lens for sale. I recently acquired a like-new condition as part of a larger package of lenses (and an A850). Although it's an outstanding lens, I don't really have a need for something this long (that's what my DA*300 is for

).

The lens comes with the original box, lens caps and both the normal and ND4 drop-in filter. In addition, a LowePro 4S case will be included (pictured below). Please PM/email me with any questions you have. I am asking $550 shipped.

PayPal is my preferred method of payment (no additional fees to use PayPal), but I am open to other methods of payments on a case-by-case basis. Please PM me with any questions about shipping, payment or with any other questions you might have.

Yeah, I got a chance to play around with it for a little bit earlier this evening after I took the picture of it for the ad. It's really is a pretty cool lens, and only a bit bigger than a can of soda/beer (although about twice as heavy). The AF is actually quite decent too, especially considering I was playing around with it indoors (which is less than ideal given the focal length and max aperture). DOF at 500/8 is very thin, so the fact that it can accurately AF is a huge bonus for this type of lens (IMO).
