Also, the lack of photos of the actual glass itself (front and rear element) is a concern.

And, I do hope you will pursue taking some photos with the lens with a digital Pentax camera so we all can judge for ourselves.
The front element is perfect. The rear element I wouldn't vouch for (it's rather deep) but I didn't see anything, and I was looking.

Me too. I am interested in the lens, but without good pictures and that no return clause, it looks like my intereest is winding down.

I thought he retracted that? From page 2:

To clarify: if your not happy with this or any purchase from me, return the lens or other item in same condition as sent and I will refund your purchase price . 380 positive feedbacks on eBay, in that time, three returns and full refunds. (this lens is one)
IDK, I'm just here to drool. It's a gorgeous piece of glass. I'd love to see what it can do, too, but I could never afford such a beast.

Yep, I retracted the "No return policy" on this lens. And nope, haven't found a digital yet to take any photo's with. I'm still looking hard though, called the cam-tech shop to see if they had anything out there to test with and they didn't at this time. I just can't afford a good digital right now. No worries, I will at some point get some photo's or have someone "buy it and try it" soon I imagine. Thanks for the interest though!

If the seller is willing, would it help if someone who lives close to the seller tries out the lens with a digital body and can post sample pictures. It will help everyone interested in the lens. Thanks.

I hope everyone at least got a chance to see the film camera shots I took and posted some days ago? Sun came through one second that day for the cat shot.

I have a copy of this lens and it's a great lens for birding. I'll offer some of my samples for those who are eager to see something.

Most of these are with a 1.4X-L converter, and a couple are with a 2X-L converter. Some are cropped.

When I bought my 250-600mm I thought that I would sell my A*600mm to help pay for it, but I like the lens too much to part with it. The matched L converters work well with this lens, particularly the 1.4X-L.

I hope this helps anyone who is curious about this lens. I don't know how similar or different the seller's is to mine, but this might give you an idea of its potential.

G.Money, great shots and I fully support your comments as I also have one copy and must say that it is a great lens for birding. I also have the 1.4XL TC and they are a great match.

Trigger,

If you are going to be in Portland, give me a call and I can take pictures with my camera and post them on this site so people can have an idea of what they are buying. Pm me if you'll be coming over to the valley...

Mike
