Vivitar 1.4 teleconverter

Looking for a used Vivitar 1.4 A/F teleconverter to play with (to save some cash, why else). Anyone bored with theirs yet?

Same as this one which sells new for a little over $90:

Vivitar 1.4x Teleconverter for Pentax VIV14XP B&H Photo Video

Don't care about box/case/some cosmetic flaws. Payment by paypal (US) or paypal/cheque (if in Canada).
I would also consider the Tamron and Kenko 1.4, which is a very similar design.

Shipped to Ottawa, Canada, postal code K2L2J2 via US Postal Service or Canada Post.

Thank you!

You might want to look at this thread, and my review of the Pro-Optic TC that I guess is identical to this one, except for the branding. Short answer is I find this TC works well with non-SDM DA lenses (no aperture ring) and of course with totally manual lenses, but there are compatibility issues with other lens mounts. Edit: Please see my post below.

Thanks so much for the pointer! I'm looking to use it with my "dumb" fa*/300 so it looks like the cheapest one out there that may work (I'll have to research that a bit). I believe the -FAs are closer to the -DA-s than plain -A in terms, but I would really appreciate if you were able to try one. I know that the Kenko/Tamron works very well with the -FA series.

Of course, I would still like to find a used one if anyone is reading this.

Cheers.

I've looked into this some more, and figured out why my A- lens wasn't compatible. I now think most A-series lenses will be compatible, and my guess is that F- and FA-series lenses will be too. Just a few of the extreme telephoto A-lenses, and all the DA*s, won't work with this TC. I've updated my review accordingly; fuller explanation there.
