Wanted - Acquired: Tamron 500mm f8 mirror lens

Looking for a Tamron 500mm f8 mirror lens in good shape at a reasonable price for my wife. I know where I can buy one for $160 right now, so I'm looking for one for less.

Wow, 160 is a steal for this lens! Does it come with the adapter?

Are you set on a Tamron lens.

I have a Vivitar 500 f8 mirror lens that I'd be happy to let go if you are interested.

Check with KEH. They have a bunch of them at very low prices. I would encourage you to stick to Tamron. I have a Sigma 600 F8, a Bower(Samyang) 500 F6.3 and a Tamron 500 F8. By far the Tarmon is the sharpest. Make sure you get one with the hood included. It is absolutely essential to get good contrast.

demp10 Re: KEH - Yep. That's where they're around $160. Not too worried about the hood, since I can get an aftermarket one cheap on eBay. But yeah, a hood is essential. I use one on my 3M-5CA all the time.
