SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.7 and Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm f/3.5

Asking Price
AUD$65 + Postage

Item Location
Melbourne (Australia)

Item Description
I'm selling a couple of lenses that I received with a camera body I purchased on ebay.

SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.7 SOLD

This lens is in excellent condition with very clean glass. There are just a few tiny specs of dust inside but it shouldn't matter. Please see the pics below.

More info on the SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.7 can be found here

Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm f/3.5 AUD$65

This lens is in pretty good condition. It has some internal dust and what looks like a couple of very small cleaning marks on the inside of the lens. I don't think they will affect the image quality. The focusing is very smooth but the zoom is a little tight. I have not tested it as I didn't want to remove the black skirt at the back of the lens in order to fit it to digital SLR's.

Nice looking series 1 copy, and rare to see it with all the papers. My own copy still had the paper badge around the focus/zoom ring that explains the macro functionality when I got it 10 years ago, but non of the other papers. This version 1 of the series 1 vivitar 70-210 is well worth having. Good close focusing capability. Built like a tank.

Thanks Douglas Its seems to be a very nice old lens. As you mentioned it is odd to see one with all of its papers like this. The main instruction booklet is like new and is pretty interesting to have a read of.

The M 50mm has sold already so I have updated the title.

Price for the Vivitar has also been dropped to AUD$65 + postage

Cheers

Jake

jake, a question : what did you mean about removing the skirt on the viv? do they need modding to fit dslr's?

Thats exactly right saladin. If you look at the last picture of the Vivitar there is a skirt that sits out from the mount. In the pic it runs from around 6:00-11:30. This needs to be shaved back in order to mount the lens on DSLR's.

If the buyer wants this skirt trimmed back I am happy to do it for them before I send the lens. I just wanted to advertise the lens in its original condition in case someone wanted it that way.
